Based in Iran, Gholizadeh Carpet and Rug Complex has vast experience in manufacturing and exporting hand-knotted carpets and rugs. It resumed the production of hand-knotted rugs in 1990 using four generations’ experience in hand-knotted rug manufacturing and trading. During the years, Gholizadeh carpets have made a tremendous contribution to introduce to the world the mesmerizing designs and patterns of Iranian hand-knotted rugs and carpets. Special attention to Bakhshayesh hand-knotted carpets and rugs is among the distinguishing features of Gholizadeh Complex. Rugs from Bakhshayesh (a town in East Azerbaijan Province) closely resemble those from Heriz in terms of color, design, and quality. Bakhshayesh rugs have been reborn and attained their proper global position thanks to the special attention and support of Gholizadeh Complex. Another distinctive feature of this complex is that the entire process of carpet/rug production from supplying, washing, and brushing wool, through spinning and dying, to weaving a rug, is done by Iranian craftspeople/artisans.
